ugh. i'm sick. usually that's steve's job, but i guess i'm filling in this year. i didn't even go out the last two nights, and today i only ventured out for a few errands. i think i'm going to take a bath and make some soup. i bought some rotisserie chicken (LOVE that word, rotisserie!) and i'm thinking wild rice would go good with that in soup. yum! it *almost* makes me feel good about staying in the rest of the day.

i read this article that i thought you-all might enjoy. apparently at christmas-time last year the wall street journal decided to see if some of the "last minute shipping available" claims actually worked by ordering at the last minute and seeing which companies actually got presents delivered on time. if you need a password to read the article and want to check it out, lemme know. anything to help last-minute-cyber-shopping-friends! one fun tidbit from the article (that i would guess not even ken jennings knows): fedex expects its express service will be handling 4.6 million packages on monday, 12/20, its busiest day this year. sheesh. and i thought we were busy trying to get everything done before the holiday.
