things i love about chicago during the holidays:

* the busker playing both christmas carols AND the star wars theme song on a euphonium on state street
* holiday lights up and down michigan avenue, and generally all over
marina city (note to self: take photos!)
* taking taxis home from holiday parties
* the still-festive planters and medians along the major boulevards (greenery! red berries!)
* fancy schmancy storefront windows at marshall field's
* the fact that our city tree kicks the rockefeller center tree's ass
