they're already putting up the christmas ornament displays at the hallmark store in my office building. they started yesterday -- it wasn't even july, for chrissakes! sooooooo wrong!

it's funny how small a world it is. i was out tonight with a friend and while walking to the train afterward ran into one of my employees. of course, i know i was near her neighborhood, but it's still surprising when that sort of thing happens.

steve is gone tonight, back in ann arbor (sniff). sometimes when he's gone i end up staying up really late futzing around 'cause i know it'll be hard to go to sleep. i organize things that don't really need to be organized. i decide it's a really good time to clean something that's not really one of the main, obvious things that need cleaning. you know, like the medicine cabinet, which doesn't need it as much as say, the rest of the damn apartment. i *know* steve doesn't do this when i'm gone, so why is it that i have to find some sort of weird project that i can be in control of to pass the time? i guess that's the sort of odd thing that love does to a person.

things i really want to buy on ebay, but that also scare me, starting with some fun Mickey D's items:

1. Happy Meal Stacy and Todd dolls by Mattel, no less.

2. McDonald's Fry Guys Alarm Clock: just imagine how much fun it would be to wake up to this every morning!

3. McDonald's gold pinkie ring with diamonds

4. A crazy "China vs. Vietnam" board game which could be fun to check out, except that i'm a bit scared that steve would want to actually play it (and the instructions are in "some Asian language")

5. Kommissar, the board game

6. Pretty much everything from The King's Lance hand-forged armor is both nifty and scary.

7. On a very different fashion note, I can't believe there have been this many bids on this Monica Lewinsky purse

8. This Ford Pinto t-shirt will definitely impress.

And on that stupid note, I'm out...
