so while i was out of town last week, the rescheduled prince concert took place. several of my coworkers went to it, and said that it rocked. however, there was apparently also an afterparty/concert at the house of blues, and many people seem to think that it sucked. check out some of the amusing reader-written show reviews here.

and tonight i'm missing the other big show this month, the "so hip right now" hives. i liked the hives first album a lot. *a lot*. and i've convinced my coworker (who is at the show tonight) to share with me his copy of the latest cd. i hope it rocks as much as he said it does.
