we're definitely making progress getting our house unpacked and set up. i had the bookclub gals over tonight (and steve hosted the boys) and everyone was impressed with the place, and i was excited to be able to give everyone tours. and -- even better -- everyone stayed late (after 11 on a work night!). hooray!

things are definitely going well.

i'm starting to get the feel for what i'm doing at work, and to feel like my co-workers are my friends. i do feel like it's going to be a bigger challenge than my previous job, but i guess that's what i made the move for.
as for the rest of life, we took a road trip to LA last weekend and drove highway 1 in the convertible, with the top down the whole way. i really needed that time and space to clear my head, get focused and relaxed, and to spend that time with steve. our digital camera went kaput, so all i have are videos, which are pretty lame. however, i can say without any reservations that everyone should drive hwy 1 in a convertible in their lifetime. definitely, definitely, a highlight.
