i'm really bummed that i can't find a link or a photo to share with ya'll, since i read about the coolest wedding idea ever today, and wanted to let you in on it.
apparently, local chicago artist ben stone developed a robot called Nuptron 4000, and used it for his wedding last month. the robot, which stands 7 feet tall and weighs 250 pounds, played a pre-recorded sermon through a boom box mounted on the back. according to the article in friday's edition of RedEye, the "forceful monotone delivery and its electronic resonance had the audience focusing on every word." the article also claimed that the bride's dad "was worried it would be dumb, but he said it was powerful."
um, sure.
