meeting people is hard...
i went to the um alum club dinner tonight. interesting mix of people: architect, egyptologist (who is living at her mom's while finishing her dissertation), a pediatric cardiologist, three guys from abbott (pharmaceutical) and three people that i didn't get to talk to at all.
hmm...
not sure what they thought of me, though, either.
it was definitely nice to have plans in the evening, so for that i am grateful. however, i'm not sure if i'll follow up and try to see any of those people again, or if i'll just wait and see if any of them are at the "meet and greet" dinner next month.
i just scoured craigslist to see if there were any people interested in forming a bookclub and found a few people. maybe i'll have enough energy tomorrow to email them and see.
i am so tired...
