a big shout out to a few friends with major, major accomplishments lately:
- hooray for keenan and carrie, whose beautiful baby girl, petra, was born on august 3rd
- hooray for bruce and vanessa, whose short film eskimo movie will be shown at the LA international short film festival
- hooray for the lovely and talented poet barbara tran (who many of you may recall lived in the house with the cannon on revena street), who has a poem pubished (on page 68) of the aug 21st issue of the new yorker
