it's the 25th anniversary of "we are the world" and i watched the new version (which was created as a benefit to aid disaster relief in haiti) and i have NO IDEA who most of the people in the new version are.
so that led me to watch the original, and i was able to identify all but two of the performers (including the ones panned over who didn't have solos, like hall & oates). what i found fascinating, though, are the notes about who all was asked to participate in the original. watch the video, and then go over to the right hand side of the page in the "info box" and click on "more info" under the yellow subscribe button. crazy!
